I sit at the beach. The sea is ever-changing and always the same. The same appears to be true for many aspects of life. While the outside appearance of things might fluctuate, their essence remains constant: the desire to relate, create and explore are three fundamental elements that make up my human experience. Paired with my love for music, travel, and nature, they are the perfect ingredients to start my Far Rider Blog. Much like a fine French menu, we will cover various aspects of these topics.

More than a blog

Rather than a blog, though, I think of it as my creative journal. It is where I share inspiring stories and a few insights that set me on my journey to move closer to living my dreams and staying in the creative flow. A key focus will be on the mindset that helps me along the way.

Moreover, music, travel, and nature affect us on a deeper level than meets the eye. So rather than just reporting our fun experiences on our trips, I would like to travel deeper and reflect on how the experiences influence my content creator and musical journey. In sharing, I hope to inspire you in an entertaining way to live your full potential.

Slow down and creativity flows

The sea I sit at lies in Southern France. This area of the world holds a special place in my heart and is a big inspiration. It is only quite fitting for me that the first few lines of this blog were written there. I wrote Bay of Angels (Piano Edition) in the same area a few years back – my first ever song released to Spotify and other streaming platforms. This time around, our stay was critical to gain clarity on how I wanted to share my experience with the world more succinctly.

We stayed at the beautiful campground “L’Étoile d’Argens” where a boat shuttle conveniently transported us to a relatively non-touristic beach. That and its quiet nature and fun activities provided the perfect retreat to slow down and reflect on my creative journey.

Especially reading Antoine de Saint Exupery’s “Wind, Sand and Stars” illustrated how I wanted to recount my experiences and reflect on their deeper meaning. In it, he adventurously tells stories of his life as a pilot and elegantly weaves in his view of what the human experience is about.

When we slow down, it is easier to gain a clear understanding of underlying processes. Much like the singer who learns a new song, she slowly practices each line note for note to train muscle memory. The reduced pace of spending days at the beach allowed me to clear my head, read and journal. Creativity just started to flow.

A compass for direction

On that beach, I mapped out the logo for my personal brand. It will work like a compass for future steps in my creative endeavors and graces my first merchandise items already. It reflects my love for exploring nature and singing songs at the campfire. It is for those who want to travel far and freedom lovers. For me, everything we do and say starts with love and echoes in eternity.

I feel that I am about to enter a new phase. A phase where I start to share my creative journey with a community of people I am yet to discover and who share in the traits mentioned before. I would love to hear if what I write resonates with you. What benefits has slowing down brought you? Do you find it challenging? Let me know in the comments below, on social media, or via email.

I vividly remember the final day of our stay. I sit at the beach and feel the wind blow land inward, away from the sea, and tomorrow we return home. Let’s embark on this journey together.
